Build Back Links Fast With Comment Kahuna
By Todd | March 12, 2008
Building quality back links to your web site is crucial for building page rank and and getting a decent listing in the search engines. The problem is it can be so darn time consuming. One free solution I’ve been having fun with lately is Comment Kahuna.
Comment Kahuna is a free windows utility that takes the grudge work out of building back links through blog commenting. It’s simple to use and will save you huge amounts of time. Here’s how it works
- Type in the keyword phrase you’re targeting
- Set the minimum web site Page Rank (PR) for the blogs you want to comment at
- Create a profile with your name and web site url
- Push button
- Comment Kahuna returns with a list of blog posts with the minimum PR you chose, AND that do not have the “nofollow” tag set
To understand why this is powerful you need to understand the nofollow tag. Because of the power back links from high PR sites have in influencing your search engine standings people started to abuse the commenting feature on blogs. Essentially they began spamming the blogosphere with irrelevant comments just for the sake of the back link.
One tactic the blog engines began to employ in the fight against comment spam was the nofollow tag. The nofollow tag was a tag the blog owner could set that told the search engines not to follow through links in the blog comments. This essentially rendered the back link in blog comments useless.
So does that mean you’re wasting your time building back links through blog comments? Probably … unless you are posting at blogs that do not use the nofollow tag!
Blindly commenting on blogs without knowing if they have a nofollow tag is a waste of your time. Fortunately Comment Kahuna takes the risk out by finding you the specific blog posts related to your keywords and that are NOT using nofollow tags.
Comment Kahuna is free. There are no strings attached. Simply go and get it and start being more productive with your link building right now.
One piece of advice though … make sure your comment adds value to the post or it will just be another comment that gets moderated and never appears. If you going to go to the effort make sure you get something for it. A good comment that contributes to the blog is more likely to get approved by the author than some silly “I like your blog” comment.
