Comment Kahuna Upgrade - Build Back Links Even Faster

By Todd Alan | September 5, 2008

It’s been a while since I first reviewed Comment Kahuna and a lot has changed since then so I thought I’d update you a bit.

If your new to this wonderful tool here’s the gist of it. Comment Kahuna is a free tool that allows you to search for blogs, squidoo pages, and many other types of pages that support commenting, based on keywords and Google page rank. This allows you to quickly find blog posts relevant to what you’re trying to link to so you can comment on them and gain a back link. The best part is it separates out the ones that use the NO FOLLOW tag from those that do not. You can read more about that in my previous post on Comment Kahuna, “Building Back Links Fast with Comment Kahuna“.

If you’ve already been using this tool you should know that just the other day the Comment Kahuna team released a new version of the free tool to address “some changes Google has recently made”. It’s not clear to me which changes their referring to, but regardless, the changes that have occurred with Comment Kahuna since my first review are significant.

The most impressive improvement in my mind is the profile management. The features they’ve added to manage profiles and multiple user names per profile make it very easy to build out a number of commenter profiles very quickly.

With these profiles in hand you’ll have no trouble finding blog postings based on your keywords and submitting comments almost on autopilot.

btw, I believe the user manual is redone as well (not sure). Either way, it’s only 7 pages and very easy to understand. The tool is simply that simple.

Comment Kahuna is still one of the fastest and cheapest (free) ways to build backlinks to your pages.

Comment Kahuna and Traffic Kahuna are simply winners in the traffic game.

@Africa News -

Yeah, it’s not bad. Although one thing I’m not crazy about it that it sometimes picks up blog posts that don’t have comments yet and thinks this means, because it doesn’t see a “nofollow” , that the blog doesn’t use one. Kind of a false positive when there’s no comments on the post yet.

Say what you want, since I’ve been using comment kahuna I’ve seen improvement in SERPs for several websites and my backlink counts are steadily rising.

When the next Google PR update happens, I’m expecting to see improvement there as well.

Sure, it’s got it’s quirks, like thinking a blog is do follow simply because there aren’t any comments it can find to check for nofollow but it’s still been extremely useful to me. Who knows, perhaps a future build will include being able to spot that problem and flag a blog with “?” to let the user know it can’t tell.

I agree. It’s not perfect, but it still improves my ranking as well so it’s good enough for me. :)
cheers
