Hi Todd. It's a good thing we have people like you to share knowledge with us. Thank you. I am trying the affiliate marketing thing and so far nothing. But reading your site I have regained confidence. Again thank you.

Hey Todd!

I got a link to your site from a fellow WA member (and in time I got used to trusting WA members), but I still have one question about the course. I had some success in IM, but I was basically struggling with finding good keywords all the time. Recently I got that figured out and now I feel I'm ready to make some real money. I decided to make some changes regarding the blog platform (I was using Blogger) and email marketing, due to the constant reminding from everyone in the business that "money is in the list".

Here's the question about the course: let's say I have couple of dozens of related keywords ready for a campaign. Do I use your system for every one of those like this:
KW1 -> article A -> lens A -> blog A,
KW2 -> article B -> lens B -> blog B
KW3 -> article C -> lens C -> blog C ...etc...

or like this:
KW1 -> article A -> lens A -> blog A
KW2 -> article B -> lens A -> blog A
KW3 -> article C -> lens A -> blog A ...etc...

The first concept would be somewhat time-consuming because I am still not what you may call a seasoned blog maker, so I kind of hope you will point to this second one.

Thanx in advance,

Hi Adam,

Thanks for stopping buy and thanks for the comments on the course. PPC is not something I recommend most people start with unless they're prepared to spend the money on a good PPC course first.

Each bit, like squidoo lenses, blogs and articles are all advertising pieces in their own right. Each one is going to get indexed by google and will create an opportunity for someone to find your content via google search.

Some pieces like squidoo lenses will also be found by people browsing squidoo categories or searching within squidoo. This is why we strive to push our squidoo lens rank up as high as we can so can pick up some of that walk in traffic.

As far as getting traffic from our blog to an article I describe why you might want to do this in lesson #7. Lesson #8 describes how you actually do this in the section called " How to Direct Traffic from Your Blog to an Article Directory".

I'm not sure what else I can say about it that's not written there. If you can tell me what part you're stuck on in more detail then perhaps I can help more. Simply create a short intro for the article in your blog post with a link to the article at the article directory explaining that they can read the full article there. This will funnel people from your blog post to the article and boost your article views and ranking.

btw. you can email me at the address that you receive the course from rather than placing your email in the comments. I took the liberty of editing your comment and removing the email address you left because I'd hat for a spam bot to pick up the email address and have you end up on dozens of spam lists.

cheers,
todd

Hi Bob,
Welcome and thanks for joining.
I checked my aweber account and a second email was sent out with the links. I'm assuming you checked your junk/spam folder? Sometimes they get misplaced by out mail programs.

In any case I have just sent you an email with the link. I hope this one gets through.

Hey Brett, thanks for stopping by and leaving the comment!

Yeah, you never forget your first campaign that's for sure. There's no bigger rush than seeing something come together because once you start to see it you really can believe it and then it's a piece of cake to get behind. ... then the money starts rolling and you can't help but laugh ...

Good luck Brett. Hope you'll keep us posted!

Hey Todd, Before I started this course, I did not have a clear understanding of "exactly" what I needed to do. I needed somebody to "draw me a picture". I am very grateful to you for creating such a comprehensive course. I am in the midst of a campaign as you outlined and I was page 2 in 10 hours, page 1 in 34 hours, and I am still in the early phases! I am fired up because now I KNOW I can do this! They say you never forget your first campaign. It's so cool when determination pays off. THANKS!!

@Wendy -
Hi Wendy, thanks for giving my course a try. I think you'll be pretty happy if you stick with it.

The average number of articles I write for a campaign can vary significantly. It really depends on a lot of factors. How well the articles are written, how well the landing page converts, how competitive the niche is.

Some articles I might only get 10% of the readers clicking through while others can get up to 40%. A good article that intrigues the reader to want more, along with a call to action in the bio box can make a big difference.

After you get the click through from the article you need a landing page that will convert them, or get them to click through to the sales page of the product you're marketing. This is where a lot of testing can help. Landing page testing and optimization will help you figure out what's working and what's not working. For this you need to ensure you have maintianed their interest and intrigued them to want to learn more by going to the product page. And just like the article, you need a call to action to make them do so.

You really have to TELL them to click through. Tell them CLICK HERE.

People do what they're told if you've captured their interest or imagination.

I'm going over this just to show you the many places in a campaign that come into play and the reason an average number of articles is not easy to pin down. Improvements in any of these areas can improve your campaign and therefore require less article for traffic.

As far as using PLR, I don;t like it but you can do it. I'm going to talk a bit more about it in the next Q&A for the course which will be shipped tomorrow.

Just be sure you rewrite them sufficiently enough to be unique and on topic. make them specific to your situation so they don't sound like PLR.

thanks for the comment and for stopping by.
cheers,
todd

Thanks Todd for a great course. I've been trying to make my first affiliate sale for nearly 2 years. I will definitely give your campaign outline a go.

With regards to ezinearticles, on average how many articles do you normally submit for each product. You mentioned 9 for your first campaign - have you found you can do less and still get the same amount of traffic? Also, do you use different aliases for the articles you write for each product you market?

Do you think it's ok to rewrite PLR stuff for the articles that can also be used to make up your bonus. I'm not particularly good at coming up with new stuff for each article about the same subject matter.

Thanks again
