Thanks!

Being against list building is like being against customers. Isn't that what your list is after all?

anyone who is not working on building their list is not really serious about building a real business.

A lot of people pay lip service to building a business online, but only a handful take it seriously enough to actually do it.

getting started on your list is a sure sign of how serious a person is about their business and is an almost infallible indicator of who is going to be successful or not.

I hope this post really makes people understand this.

Hey thanks for the comments Kirk and thanks for following for so long.

The product being marketed had a conversion rate of about 7-8%, depending on the particular email the user got (it was being split tested)

For each of my niches/lists I generally do a new promotion about every 3 weeks. But every promotion doesn't come out this way. Some are maybe only a few thousand dollars, but others can be much larger.

I have a number of niches and campaigns going and a few of them are much stronger than the others. But with multiple campaigns going in different niches it makes it easy to be doing a decent promotion in at least one of then each week.

This $6,500 promotion has actually become dwarfed by a more recent promotion I did via email which I'll be posting a
shortly.

cheers,
Todd

Hi Kris,

The theme on this blog was taken from somewhere that I don;t recall but was then heavily modified so it's not much like the original.

The "stay in touch" section is actually just the standard text widget where I added my own html code.

The poll widget I use is called wp-polls.

Hi Kris,

I'm working on a list of plugins that I use and will post them shortly. Which wordpress plugins to use an how to use them for best results is something I go into in great detail in the new version of the course which I'll be announcing soon.

I think you'll like it.

Hi Kris,

Welcome aboard and thanks for the comments. I'm glad you're liking the course so far. I'm actually working on a new release that is really going to rock!

To answer your questions ...

If you build a bonus based on a specific product then the list you build will only be useful for marketing other products in that niche. This is the case for any list you build around a specific niche. And all lists need to be built around a niche.

Just keep in mind that your specific product already fits a specific niche which is the niche all your related product promotions must fit.

If your product name is not being searched then the specific method on list building I mention in the course will not really help you because the method relies on being able to leverage the work of other marketers who introduce your prospects to the product.

If the product name is not being searched then there is no leverage.

The next version of the course will be much better and much more details when it comes to the what and the why of these techniques.

cheers,
Todd

Hey Flexiblecarter,

Well there are many things you can do to grow your list and make more sales. The most important thing you can do is offer your visitor a reason to sign up for your list. Makes sure you're giving them a good reason ... ie. a good guide or piece of information.

Then make sure it's clear what the benefit is for the visitor if they sign up.

Of course there is a great deal of ways to do this. Too much for a comment ...

cheers,
Todd

Last questions I promise, which widgets are you using for your “stay in touch” and “poll” sections? Did you create your own theme or is something like it available @ Wordpress, I couldn't find it. Thanks for all your help.

Now that I am actually setting up my wordpress blog I thought of a helpful addition to the course. What widgets should I use. I see what you have on your site here but the way worpress lays out their widgets its kind of convoluted. A list of "widgets you love" would be very helpful. Thanks

Hi Todd

Thanks for your video; always look forward to your stuff!

What kind of conversion were you getting from your list and what was your price point?
How many times would you recommend doing a mailing like that?

Thanks
