Wealthy Affiliate Gold - Content Explosion

The Wealthy Affiliate University has always been the premier site to learn affiliate marketing. The site already boosts one of the most active user communities in the business but recent developments, particularly the Wealthy Affiliate Gold program and the new Share Zone, are leaving the competition in the dust.
If you’re not a member then let me fill you in on a simple yet brilliant idea Kyle and Carson have implemented over there.
I’m no longer sure of the user base of the community but I am sure it has grown significantly and is certainly in the many thousands of users at this time. Many of the users are quite senior with many years experience and earning anywhere from $300/day to well over $1000/day.
One of the biggest selling points of Wealthy Affiliates has always been the readiness of it’s members to help each other out. The incredible mentorship going on there is responsible for many small fortunates online.
Well to tap into this even further Kyle and Carson have implemented a program called the Wealthy Affiliate Gold program. The idea is that each month they will give you 10 gold pieces (basically like credits) which you can give to other people in the community as a token of appreciation for their help. This help can be in the form of private messages, responses in forum threads or by uploading a piece of content they’d like to share.
Here’s where it gets interesting. The gold pieces can be redeemed for real money. 10 gold = $1 USD. Now that might not sound like a lot but when you consider there are literally thousands of $$$ being distributed each month by the Wealthy Affiliates you can see how easy it is to get your piece of the pie.
Now there are a few things to understand about this program.
- Wealthy Affiliates give each member 10 gold / per month
- These 10 gold cannot be redeemed but can be given away
- Any gold you receive from others can be redeemed at 10 gold = $1 USD
- A forum post you make could continue to earn you money indefinitely as long as people find it helpful
- Other content can also earn money; eBooks, videos, tutorials, tips and any other content you can think of can bu uploaded to what is called the Share Zone
The plan works very well. The original 10 free gold you get each month can’t be redeemed for cash so there is nothing to do with them but give them away. But anything you receive from other members can be cashed in for real $$$. This mechanism ensures the gold moves around and also ensures those who contribute get rewarded. This is essentially a form of currency within the community that has real world value.
It’s a fantastic way to take part in the community and get rewarded for the effort over and over again. Residual income baby!
In fact the Wealthy Affiliate Gold program is working so well that there’s been an explosion of excellent content contributed by community members ranging from tips, videos and full length tutorials on various affiliate techniques. The forums are as active as ever as well.
It is not hard to see that simply being an active member of the community could easily begin to pay for your membership dues. Let’s say you’ve learned of a great technique or simply have a way of explaining things that is helpful to others. You add do a forum post or an article and for years you can continue to get paid for it.
Aside from being able to make money by simply contributing, you also get the benefit of the largest and most comprehensive collection of affiliate marketing info from top marketers available anywhere on the web.
I would expect to see the Wealthy Affiliate Gold program model adopted by in a wide range of online communities as it’s a great way to let quality content rise to the top while rewarding active community members.
Lastly, I don’t believe the update to the features page at Wealthy Affiliates reflects this new program as it’s still fairly new and was rolled out to existing members but once you get in the door you’ll see it everywhere. It’s quite ubiquitous wherever there is an opportunity to contribute.
So check it out, contribute a little and in no time you’ll have your dues paid for through ongoing residual income. It doesn’t get much better than that!

Definitely going to check this out. One of my site main weaknesses has been the inability to find a good affiliate program. Hope I can find something good with this site! Thanks for the information.

I agree - but I also think that not many companies are as generous and genuine as WA.

I think there is a lot of value in a system like this. It enables you to help out the people that are sincere and truly working at affiliate marketing. It also lets them reciprocate for help you have given.
I guess that’s the point!

I think this is great! I’ve been wanting to give affiliate marketing a try, but didn’t know how to go about it, and didn’t know where i could learn. so thank you for the great information.
